Names of God Prayer Shawls

Add meaning to times of prayer with this beautiful embroidered self fringe tallit, or prayer shawl. Prayer Shawls can be made of black polyester poplin, polyester (colors),  or linen/rayon,  with multiple thread color options, and has 10 different Names of God machine embroidered in purple. These ten names are shadowed in the 23rd Psalms. Measures approximately 72″ long x 25″ wide.

Your name is also embroidered on it; either at neck or on bottom. Email how you want name embroidered, including title, ie Minister, Prophetess, etc.

Creation of the “Names of God’ Prayer Shawls

In 2009 God told me to do prayer shawls. I had no idea what a prayer shawl was; and I certainly didn’t know what to put on it, so I researched and found several well known men and women of God who were advertising prayer shawls or “talith”.

Jewish men wore a Talith all the time, not just at prayer. Talith contains two Hebrew words, TAL meaning tent, and ITH meaning little..”little tent”. Each man had his own “little tent” or prayer shawl. They would pull it up over their head forming a tent where they would began to chant and sing their Hebrew songs and call upon “Elohim, Yahweh, Adonai”. It was an intimate, private time from anyone else where they totally focused upon God. This was their “prayer closet”.

Matthew 6:6 “But when you prayer, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you openly.”

After learning about prayer shawls, I still didn’t know what design to put on it. Oak Grove Restoration Ministries, where I am a member, has an annual Word for Life Conference and the theme that year was “Ignite the Fire Fan the Flames, so that’s what I put on the first prayer shawl I created. Later that year God gave me the design using ten of the names of God.
